Day off in North London

Yesterday was my first real day off in around a fortnight so I decided rather than catching up on sleep, to go into London to get a few bits and to make the most of the city that I’m lucky enough to live in. I’m trying to blog more at the moment so I took my camera out with me and took some snaps of my day to share. I chose to go to Camden as it will always have a special place in my heart, even though it’s so touristy. When I came up to London for the first few times aged 17 I would stay with my good friend Matt at his place in Camden and so I guess that’s why I feel so at home there as it’s where my London journey began. I love that there is so much to do and see in Camden and there is such a good atmosphere there. I wanted to buy some new sunglasses and I knew that I would find the right pair on the high street in one of the many¬†memorabilia shops. It’s also been so long since I had a good mooch around the market too.

For any non Londoners reading, I’d recommend visiting Camden next time you’re in London as it’s so different to the other boroughs of London in my opinion. It’s in North London and right next to Primrose Hill which I think is the perfect place to watch the sunset over the London skyline.

I bought new sunglasses I was looking for, picked up some henna in the market and managed to avoid the temptation of the street food even though I wanted some Thai food so badly. When I was finished in Camden I headed home via Ikea Wembley where I bought some new bits for the flat, including the cutest baby cacti ever.. and that’s how I spent my day off.
